Police release new armed robbery photo

first_imgVancouver police released a photo Sunday of a person they say was involved in an armed robbery over the weekend.Police are searching for the suspects in two armed robberies that took place within about an hour of each other early Saturday morning in Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department.In the first of the two armed robberies, a man was walking near East 30th Street and V Street at 3:41 a.m., when police say a light-green sedan stopped him. Four male teenagers got out of the car and demanded the man’s wallet and money. One of the suspects stood behind the man and fired a handgun into the air.The man gave up his wallet, and the suspects were last seen driving west on East 32nd Street. Police, who found a bullet casing at the scene, say there may have been a fifth person driving the car.In the second armed robbery, police say a white male robbed a convenience store clerk with a chrome pistol at 4:57 a.m. at a 7-Eleven in the 5600 block of East Fourth Plain Boulevard. He was one of four “unidentified males” in the convenience store, according to police. As the robber removed money from the cash register, he fired one round into the floor behind the counter.After the robbery, a witness told police that four people got into a light-green vehicle parked near a fence north of the 7-Eleven. Police found another bullet casing at the scene of the second robbery and have video surveillance footage of two people in the 7-Eleven.last_img read more
